Finley Martin is a singer-songwriter who draws from his eclectic musical tastes and experiences. Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, he was steeped in traditional Celtic and country music. After moving to the Washington, DC area he joined post-punk band Gist and was co-founder of local record label Red Stapler Records. Since then he has played in various groups in the region from art-rockers The Chance, indie outfit Oppo, punk-pop group RagnaPOP! to the latin-jazz stylings of GrooveJet.
